My research agenda centers on architecture and design automation in three main areas: (1) orbital computing, as space is becoming a crucial frontier for computing; (2) utilizing “don’t cares” — hardware system inputs and outputs that are irrelevant in certain contexts — to enhance power, performance, and area; and (3) developing chiplet-based, scale-out systems to achieve integration surpassing the limitations of diminishing reticle sizes.
